Jack Landgon Underwood 62, St. Joseph, MO passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at his home in St. Joseph, MO. He was born December 21, 1954 in St. Joseph, MO to Joseph & Marjorie Stradder Underwood. He married Shirley Hurt McKay on June 21, 1996 in Las Vegas and she survives of the home.
Jack proudly served in the United States Navy. He loved his family and grandchildren, mushroom hunting, and his country.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Joseph Underwood of St. Joseph; one step-son, Jim (Jere) McKay of St. Joseph; two step-daughters, Carol (Rich) Nance of Wathena, KS, and Shelly (Kevin) Blizzard of St. Joseph; one brother, Richard (Colleen) Underwood of St. Joseph; two sisters, Judy Schneider of St. Joseph, and Lucy (Tim) Hatfield of Amazonia; several nieces and nephews. Twelve grandchildren and a great grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one step-son, Jesse McKay, and Brother-in-law, Rick Schneider.
A Celebration of Life will be 6:00pm Monday, August 8, 2016 at The Calvin Center, 1412 N. 3rd Street, St. Joseph, MO. 64505
