Ina Joan Rowlison, St. Joseph, MO passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. She was born January 15, 1935 in Sandhill, MO. the daughter of Claude & Rachel (Hathaway) Henry. She married Harold Rowlison (USMC-Ret) in Hurdland, MO on July 5, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 2003.
Joan is survived by two sons, Jon (Carol) Rowlison of Cameron, MO, and Harold "Clay" Rowlison of St. Joseph; two daughters, Jodi (Mark) Glidewell of St. Joseph, and Laurie Herring of St. Joseph; one daughter-in-law Gwenna Rowlison of Lincoln, NE. eight grandchildren, Melissa Rowlison, Rachael Blaske, Christopher Rowlison, Maegan Rowlison, Daena Rowlison, Craig Herring, Aaron Herring, Claudia Herring, and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one son, Daniel Rowlison, two sisters, Betty Greene and Myrna Bruegenhemke.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2016 at Wesley United Methodist Church in St. Joseph, MO. Visitation and family receiving hours will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home in St. Joseph, MO. Burial will be in Hurdland IOOF Cemetery in Hurdland, MO. at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled Veterans.
