Haylee Danielle Smither, 21, of Amazonia, MO passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO. She was born on November 6, 1995 in St. Joseph, MO to Keith Smither and Shelly (Nester) Smither.
Haylee loved to help people in any way she could, including organ donation. She graduated Savannah High School in 2014. She played Softball for the Savannah Savages. Haylee was a student at Missouri Western State University. She was working on a Business Administration degree.
Survivors include her mother Shelly Smither, father and step mother, Keith and Teresa Smither, maternal grandparents, Audrey and Barry Parks of St. Joseph and Gerry Nester of Savannah; paternal grandparents, Carolyn and Harlan Smither of St. Joseph; brother, Travis and Chloe Smither of St. Joseph; sister, Angela Miller of Blue Springs, MO; niece, Aubrey Ethington of Blue Springs, MO; aunts and uncles, Kelly & Ron Jr. Wood of Savannah, Shauna Nester and Brett Haggard of St. Joseph, Troy Parks of St. Joseph, Amanda Parks of Boonville, MO, Wayne and Lori Smither of Sedalia, MO, Sherlyn Jurgensen of Gower, Kathleen and Bret Mersman of Belton, MO, and John Miller of Kansas City, MO; and numerous cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life will be 10:00AM Friday, February 24, 2017 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO. Visitation and family receiving hours will be Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Amazonia, MO. Memorial contributions can be made in Haylee's name to the Midwest Transplant network.
