Harold Leon Nold, 87, was born in St. Joseph, MO on July 5, 1931 to Raymond Nold and Mildred Stout Nold and passed away at home on December 6. 2018 after a brief illness. Harold resided his entire life in rural Andrew County. On September 16, 1950 he married Mary Elizabeth McCauley. They were married for sixty-eight years.
Harold attended and graduated from Savannah High School in 1949.
Harold raised cattle and hogs on their farm. He worked as a mechanic and body man for Rainbow Bakery for thirty years. He then went to work at Affiliated Foods and retired from there in 1996.
Harold enjoyed restoring antique tractors. He had painted tractors which were featured in DuPont Paint calendars. He loved to fish in Minnesota and Wyoming. He loved spending times with his family and his dogs.
He was a member of the Long Branch Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Doris (Charles) Esely and Betty (Gene) Price, his son-in-law Carlin Bush, and his great-grandson Zander Nold Porter.
Harold is survived by his daughter Glenda Bush, St. Joseph, MO and sons Donald Nold, Savannah, MO and Carl (Debby) Nold, Cheyenne, WY. He is also survived by his grandchildren Angela Bush, Melissa Bush, Jamie (Curt) Porter, Troy Nold, Eric Nold (Ramond Curtis), Catherine (Brian) Murray, Casey Nold, and Millisen Nold. He was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at Long Branch Christian Church on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00am. Visitation and family receiving hours will be Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Burial will be in the Long Branch Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Long Branch Christian Church.
