Gregg VanSchoiack, 91, Savannah, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Savannah, MO. He was born March 1, 1927 in Helena, MO to Harold & Hildred (Veach) VanSchoiack. He married Ruth Anna Wildhagen December 1, 1956 in St. Joseph, MO and she preceded him in death.
Gregg loved his family and dancing with his late wife. He enjoyed farming, his close friends, livestock auctions, and fishing. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army Signal Corps in Germany.
He is survived by his son, Dean (Mary Ann) VanSchoiack of Savannah; daughter, Janet (Chuck) Kinnaird of Holden, MO; grandchildren, Amanda Stoner, Reuben Cross, Rachel (Kyle) LaVo, Andrew (Cate) VanSchoiack, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Visitation and family receiving hours will be Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to The Savannah FFA Alumni.
