Grace P. Elam, 84, of St Joseph, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at her home in St. Joseph.  She was born December 18, 1936 in Oahu, HI to Frank and Pat (Gotto) DeCoito.

Grace loved spending time with family and especially spending time with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed crafts, arranging flowers, and care giving for the old and young.  She was a CNA for many years and was one of the first employees of LaVerna Village in Savannah.

Grace is survived by her children; Danny (Lori) Elam of Bodfish, CA, Robert (Kim) Elam of Savannah, and and Kelly (Chuck) Lacina of St. Joseph; brother, Frank DeCoito of Stockton, CA; sisters, Ginger Bell of Owensville, AR, Patsy Vargas of Placerville, CA, and Shirley Zocchi of San Francisco, CA; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation and family receiving will be held 9:00am-10:00am, Friday, March 26, 2021 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, March 26, 2021 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home.  Burial will Be in Bennett Lane Cemetery, Savannah, MO.  Memorial contributions can be made to The American Arthritis Foundation.
