Glenda Darlene Burton, 77, of St. Joseph, MO passed from this life on Friday, October 21, 2022 at her home in St. Joseph.  She was born January 16, 1945 to Johnny & Francis (Treece) Masoner.  She married Howard Burton in Troy, KS on November 26, 1960 and he survives of the home.

Glenda was a master seamstress and quiltmaker with many award-winning quilts.  She was the office manager for Acme Radiator Shop.  She was the head cook at John Glen Elementary Scholl for several years.  She raised two of her grandchildren and was a member of the Needle Point Club.  She enjoyed genealogy and traveling.  Glenda and Howard were married 61 wonderful years.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Terry (Linda) Burton of Amazonia, MO, Jody (Stacey) Burton of Platte City, MO; daughter, Anita Woodbury of St. Joseph, brother, Jim (Clara) Masoner of St. Joseph; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Burton; sisters, Pat Mullen and Elaine Miller; grandson, Conner Woodbury.

Visitation with family receiving hours will be 5:00pm-7:00pm Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO.  Funeral Services will be 10:00am Friday, October 28, 2022 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home.  The burial will be in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO.  Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO is in charge of local arrangements.
