Gladys Irene Helm, 94, Bolckow, MO passed from this life on Monday, August 3, 2015. She was born January 1, 1921 in Guisborough, North Yorkshire England to Mathis and Mary (Johnson) Rookes.
Gladys was born and raised in England until she married Donald Helm in Guisborough, England on November 17, 1969 and she joined him in the Bolckow MO. in 1970. She loved to travel and Donald showed her the US.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mavis Rookes of Guisborough, England, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Celebration of Life will be 6:30 PM Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home; Savannah, MO. Gladys has been cremated and will be returned home to England.
