Gerald N. Keller born May 23, 1926 in Cosby, Missouri to parents, Fred and Minnie Keller. Gerald passed away May 6, 2020, at home surrounded by family. Gerald graduated from Savannah (Missouri) High School and immediately joined the Army. His unit was Co D, 1st Infantry 6th Div. Part of the American Campaign to defeat and expel the Imperial Japanese forces occupying the Philippines during WWII. Gerald graduated in 1950 from the Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, Missouri with a degree in Geophysics.
Gerald N. Keller wed Mary Jo Frey Keller in 1952, celebrating their 68th Wedding Anniversary in March 2020. Preceding him in death were parents Fred and Minnie Keller, sister Betty Powell and brother-in-law Robert Powell.
Survived by his wife, Mary Jo Keller; two children Kenneth N. Keller and wife Sheri from Olathe, Kansas; Daughter Kathryn R. Keller, Ginny Hernandez from Reklaw,
Texas; three granddaughters, Erin and husband Daniel, Kathryn and husband Dan, Meghan and husband Drew and four great grandchildren, Hannah, Connor, Arlo and Gideon. Gerald was a Mason for 55 years and was most recently a member of the Joe Werner Masonic Lodge #553 Trinity, Texas.
Gerald donated his body to the UT Willed Body Program. Graveside services will be held in the Savannah Cemetery, Savannah Missouri at 10:30a.m. Thursday, October 27 th , 2022.
Memorials may be directed to Savannah United Methodist Church, 103 N. 4th St. Savannah, MO 64485. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO is overseeing local arrangements.
