Gaylord Dannie Chilcoat, 75, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday July 17, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. He was born August 8, 1941 in St. Joseph. The son of the late Lovell & Virginia (Rounds) Chilcoat.
He worked Globe Union and Johnson Controls for 25 years. Dan had a great sense of humor and was very ornery. He loved scary movies and had many trophies for being named the Pinball Wizard. He was a member of Marvin McMurry United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his companion Joyce Meeks of St. Joseph, Bonnie Chilcoat (mother of his children); daughters, Sharon Chilcoat and Rose (Michael) Hatfield both of St. Joseph; sons, Brad (DeAnna) Chilcoat and Jody (Ronna) Chilcoat both of St. Joseph; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and 16 step grandchildren; brothers, Lonnie Chilcoat and Steve (Rose) Chilcoat; sisters, Sandy (Jim) Lawrence, Loretta (Danny) Fisher, Helen Linder, and Laura (Josh) Stines; his caregiver, Sonja Terry and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harold Chilcoat and James Chilcoat.
Memorial Services will be held 3:00PM Friday, July 21, 2107 at St. Joseph Church Of-Brethren in St. Joseph. Visitation and family receiving times will be Friday, July 21, 2017 from 2:00PM -3:00PM at the church.
