Gary Dean Hill, 70, Savannah, MO passed away Saturday, September 10 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.  He was born February 28, 1952 to Marvin and Juanita (Long) Hill.  He married Helen Theas on July 3, 1971.  She preceded him in death.

Gary graduated from Savannah High School in 1970.  He worked at Affiliated Foods for 30 years and then went on to work at Phoenix Scientific for 15 years until his retirement.

Survivors include children, Tony (Melinda) Hill of Rosendale and Amy (Dwight) Foley of Savannah; his mother; sister-in-law Debbie Hill, brothers Larry, Tommy, Billy, Michael and Ronnie; sister Linda Applegarth; numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father; brothers Kenny Hill and Terry Hill; and sisters Wanda Walton and Carol Christopher.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday, September 15 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, MO.  Visitation and family receiving hours will be 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, September 14 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO.  Burial will follow the funeral service at Bennett Lane Cemetery, Savannah, MO.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Peter Lutheran Church or The American Lung Association.
