G. Kenneth Rodewald, 95, Savannah, MO. passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at LaVerna Village in Savannah. He was born December 21, 1922 in Rulo, Nebraska to George W. & Viola (Shepard) Rodewald. He married Doris Elizabeth Kowitz in Troy, KS on May 31, 1947 and she survives of the home.
Kenneth was a hard-working farmer and family man. He was a homebody who enjoyed working on tractors. Kenneth proudly served in US Army during World War II.
Kenneth is survived by his wife; one son, Norman (Gail) Rodewald of Wathena, KS; one daughter, Joyce (Gary) Rinard of Stewartsville, MO; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Apostol of Savannah. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, David Rodewald.
Visitation and family receiving hours will be Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Funeral Services will be Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:00pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Military honors will be rendered at the cemetery following the funeral service. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to AseraCare Hospice of Savannah.
