Freddie Lee Karnes Jr, 79, St. Joseph, MO passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. He was born December 17, 1937 to F.L. and Viola (Richard) Karnes.
Freddie was known to have a big generous heart. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering with small motors.
Freddie is survived by one son, Freddie L. III and Janet Karnes of Osage Beach, MO; three daughters, Lorie and Patrick Crouch of Basehor, KS, Terri and Robert Gibson of Kansas City, KS, and Sandy and Rick Kiper of Basehor, KS; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Susan Karnes and one sister, Agnes Williams.
Graveside Military Honors will be 9:00am Friday, April 28, 2017 at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
