Franklin "Frank" David Shipers, 81, of Bolckow, passed away following a brief illness on March 4th, 2018 at his home with family by his side. He was born October 9, 1936 in Pattonsburg, MO to Martin & Della (Sweat) Shipers. Frank married Bonnie Sue Rosenbaun on March 14, 1958 in Gallitan, MO and she survives of the home.
Frank loved his family and the precious time he spent with all of them. He enjoyed farming with his wife by his side and as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed visiting with people, going to auctions, and a good laugh. Frank was always there if you needed a hand. Frank served in the US Army.
He is survived by his daughters, Wanda Jo Harrison of Fillmore, Juanita (Kevin) Busby of St. Joseph, and Vanessa Shipers of Stewartsville; three sisters, Leanna Thompson & Alice Bell both of Pattonsburg, and Marcella Applegate of Omaha; grandchildren, Claire & Noah Green, Dominick Busby, Justin & Cami Harrison, Kyle Harrison, and Amanda Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers; Kermit, Oral, Irwin, Eddie, and Earl Dean; four sisters, Zemilena Markham, Mary Ward, Eulanda Plymell, Jenelda Horner, and Deloris Shipers
A celebration of life will be Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10:00AM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah. Visitation and family receiving hours will be Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will be at Bennett Lane Cemetery, Savannah, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to AseraCare Hospice, Savannah.
