Frank LeRoy Chambers Sr, 86, Savannah, passed from this life on Monday, October 30, 2017, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
He was born May 14, 1931 south east of Bolckow, MO to James & Cecile (Bowman) Chambers. Frank married Ruth Manship in Maryville in 1950 and they spent 67 years together.
Frank was a General Superintendent for Clarkson Construction and built many bridges and structures. After retiring Frank and Ruth spent many a day playing cards and fishing. Frank was most happy being surrounded by his family.
Survivors include his wife Ruth; three sons, Frank (Deb) Chambers Jr. of Savannah, Michael (Debbie) Chambers of Rosendale, MO, and Jack (Desiree) Chambers of Bolckow, MO; seven grandchildren, Angie, Shannon, Colten, Heather, Jason, Jessica, and Jeremiah; 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Sam, George, and Jim Jr.
Celebration of Life will be Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah. Public viewing and family receiving hour will be Friday, November 3, 2017 from 9:00-10:00 AM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial and interment will be at Bolckow Cemetery.
