Francis “Dean” Wilson, 84 of Savannah, MO passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at a local health care facility in St. Joseph, MO. He was born on May 22, 1942, to Charles F. & Esther R. (Heckman) Wilson. He married Carolyn (Sherlock) Wilson in 1997 and she preceded him in death in 2021.

Dean was a journey lineman for the Northwest Missouri Electric Cooperative for 45 years, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed his family, gardening, working on his classic Plymouth Roadrunner, and having coffee with his many friends in Savannah.

Survivors include Dean’s sons, Russell (Kim) Wilson of Clemson, SC. and Troy (Robyn) Wilson of Amana, IA; siblings Raymond “Keith” Wilson of Savannah, Beverly (Paul) Curran of Fillmore, and Ruth Ann Fields of Fillmore; step-son, Brad (Ellen House) Mackey of Wichita, KS; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation and family receiving hour will be 10:00am - 11:00am on Monday August 24, 2026 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be 11:00am on Monday August 24, 2026 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral services at Savannah Cemetery in Savannah, MO.
