Eunice Marie Bennington, St. Joseph, MO passed away Tuesday May, 31 2016 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. She was born March 6, 1939 in Oregon, MO to John & Agnes (Mears) Elliott. She married Verl L. Westcott and later married Charles Bennington in 1997, who preceded her in death.
Eunice was an amazing woman, who always put family and God first. Eunice had a contagious personality, whether you knew her 5 minutes or your whole life, she left an impact on your life. She always could make something out of nothing. Eunice enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and gameshows. However, her most valuable time was spent with family and friends.
Eunice is survived by six sons, Thomas & Cathy Westcott of Savannah, Vince & Terrie Westcott of Arizona City, AZ, Doug & Linda Westcott of Talking Rock, GA, Bill & Amy Westcott of Kingsville, MO, Donnie & Patricia Westcott of St. Joseph, and Jason & Amanda Westcott of Platte City, MO; two daughters, Denise & Rick Slight of Springfield, MO, and Tina & Steve Morris of Big Cedar, OK; four stepchildren, Mike & Kim Bennington, Gordon & Tammy Bennington, Linda White, Billy Bennington, and David & Annette Bennington; three brothers, Larry & Cheryl Elliott of Leavenworth, KS, Donald & Christie Elliott of McKinney, TX, and Stanley & Vickie Elliott of California, MO; one sister, Sharon & Herman Raines of Cosby, MO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and one sister, Barbara Elliott.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held 2:00PM Friday, June 3, 2016 at Savannah Avenue Baptist in St. Joseph, MO. The visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Memorial donations may be made to American Alzheimer's Association.
