Eugene A. Pegler Sr, 73, Savannah, MO, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at KU Medical Hospital in Kansas City, KS. He was born March 22, 1945 in Omaha, NE to Harold & Alice (Smith) Pegler. He married Sabra McCall in Lincoln, NE on April 24, 1976.
Eugene was a story teller and his motto was "never let the truth stand in the way of a good story".
Gene will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Sabra and his children, Gene Jr. (Jenny), Fran (Aaron). Gene will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren Samaya, Raiden and Chloe.
Memorial services will be Monday, January 14, 2019, 11:00am at Savannah United Methodist Church in Savannah, MO. Burial will follow in Bennett Lane Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the VFW Auxiliary 12053, 13440 CR 191, Savannah, MO 64485. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
