Felsburg

St. Joseph
Esther Louise Howell Felsburg went to be with Jesus on January 12th, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born on March 26, 1931 to Rev. Dr. E. O. and Rachel Howell in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She married the love of her life Lee Curtis Felsburg on September 18, 1952 in Frankfort, Indiana and he preceded her in death in 2021.
Esther always had a beautiful smile on her face. She was an asset to Lee as a preacher's wife, played piano, organ, mandolin, and accordion. She had a beautiful alto voice and sang many times in churches and revivals. Esther also had a quick sense of humor and was fun to be around. She loved Cardinals (not baseball) and Hummingbirds and flowers! She loved God and shared her faith, often praying with family and friends over the phone. She will be missed by everyone who knew her! Esther worked at Nazarene Publishing House, Kansas City, MO to put Lee through Nazarene Theological Seminary. Special thanks to Tom and Dianne Hund for their loving care and Mosaic Hospice, St. Joseph, Missouri.
She is survived by her daughter Judy (Randy) Baker, Savannah, Missouri, grandchildren Heidi (Chris) Karwoski, Denver, Colorado and Joshua (Dr. Kimberly) Baker Clovis, New Mexico. Great grandchildren Kaylin and Evan Karwoski, Derrick, Eleanor, and Gabrielle Baker. Sisters Mary Connor, Camby, Oregon, Ruth Overmeyer, Jonesboro, Indiana, brother James (Marlene) Howell, Mitchell, Indiana. Cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dr. Lee Felsburg, son, Art Felsburg, parents, and her brother William Howell.
