Emo Hwang, 75, of St. Joseph, formerly of Savannah, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her home. She was born on September 15, 1941 in Osaka, Japan to Hwang, Dae Ja & Hwang, Kim Sun.
Emo worked 38 years for The Sister's of St. Francis, touching the lives of many who knew her. Known for her generous heart and giving nature, she will be missed greatly.
Survivors include one daughter, Carrie (Sean) of St. Joseph; one brother Hwang, Song Bok of Mokpo, South Korea; one sister, Jackie (Ernest) Miller of St. Joseph. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Hwang, Hong Ju.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, at noon at The Sister's of St. Francis in Savannah. Friends and family are invited to attend. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah is in charge of local arrangements.
