Elmer "Buck" Wallace Boyd, 88, passed away on December 4, 2014, at Fairview Village Assisted Living Facility in King City, MO. He was born on October 7, 1926 in Faucett, MO to Ernest and Velva (Cundiff) Boyd. Buck married Norma Hill on May 4, 1947. Buck graduated early from Agency High School in 1944 to enlist in the Navy and serve in WWII. Farming was his life-long passion and vocation. He was a member of the RLDS Church. His family, friends, and physician Dr. Kammerer had no doubt he was a die-hard Democrat! Buck was a generous and loyal neighbor, standing firm on the motto "your word is your bond". Survivors include, three daughters, Nancy (Jim) Schottel, Basehor, Kansas; Patricia (Marvin) Schildknecht, Rosendale, Missouri; Marcia (Stan) Petty, Lawson, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Heather Krull, Jennifer Neemann, Ashley Schildknecht, Nathan Silkett, Valerie Lehman, Caleb Silkett, and Rachel Hunt; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and three sisters. Buck was preceded in death by his wife Norma, his parents, and three sisters.
