Edward Dale Curran, 67, Fillmore, MO passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. He was born on November 18, 1950 to Francis & Ida May (Lash) Curran. He married Vickie Dickson on May 6, 1972 in Savannah, MO and she survives of the home.
Ed proudly served in the Navy from June 1970 thru April 3 1972. He was an original crew member of the USS San Jose and had to wait at Treasure Island until his ship was finished being built. He loved sharing stories from those days. Ed also enjoyed going to get coffee each morning to talk and find out what was going on. If he missed a day, his friends would call and see why he was not there. Family and farming were everything to Ed. He was a Jack of all trades and a master of none. Words can not describe how much he will be missed by his family.
Ed is survived by three sons, John Curran of Kansas City, MO, Jeff (Kerrie) Curran of Fillmore, and Matthew (Marissa) Curran of Guilford, MO; grandchildren, Lauren, Christian, Madison, Emma, Lilyan, Jackson, William, Benjamin, and another grandson due in June; four brothers, Paul (Beverly) Curran of Fillmore, Stephen (Becky) Curran of Savannah, Richard (Sherri) Curran of Cosby, and James (Lisa) Curran of Fillmore; one sister, Mary Miller of Cosby; Ed was preceded in death by his parents.
Public visitation and family receiving hours will be Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Breit Hawkins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 10:00am, Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will be at Bennett Lane Cemetery, Savannah.
