E. Janice "Jan" Hill 89,of Clarksdale MO and formerly of Savannah, MO passed away June 6th, 2024 at her home.  She was born October 21, 1934 to Rev. William "Billy" James & Audra Gladys (Powers) Heriford in Union Star,MO.  She married Arthur Hill in 1965 and he preceded her in death in 1987.

Having worked as a Nursing Tech with Sisters Hospital and then Heartland Health she retired after 30 years. During those years she made many lifelong friends with fellow employees and patients she had cared for.

Jan never knew a stranger and was a beloved and very giving person.  She spent a great deal of her life in caring for others. She cherished her grandchildren and spending time with them.  She enjoyed and appreciated the two very special young men that assisted her at home on a daily basis. She referred to them as " her boys".

She was a  member of the First Baptist Church of Helena and played the piano for their church services. She was an active member of their WMU group and a devout Christian.

Survivors include her children, Pam (Frank) Hood of Land of Lakes, FL, Gary (Teresa) Campbell of Clarksdale, MO, Dave (Cindy) Campbell of St. Joseph,MO, Artye Young of Fulton, MO, Sharman (Pat) Day of Jefferson City, MO, and Eddie Hill of St. Joseph, MO; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, son Joseph Campbell, grandson Sean Young, and six siblings.

Visitation and family receiving hours will be 6:00pm – 8:00pm Friday, June 14, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO.  Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow the funeral services at Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO.
