Dorothy Lucille Vansickle passed away January 18, 2018 at Mosaic Hospital. She was born July 11, 1928 in Robinson, KS. She is survived by one sister, Rose Mary Seuell, St. Joseph, Mo.; one brother and sister-in-law; Floyd and Jill Vansickle. Niece, Cindy Seuell, St. Joseph, MO. niece Jaimie Williams, St. Joseph, MO nephew, Jeremy Heaston of St. Joseph and numerous cousins.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd H. and Mattie L. Vansickle and a nephew Tim Seuell.
She was a member of First Evangelical & Reformed Church and attended Faith United Church. Dorothy graduated from Lafayette High School in 19 46. She worked at National Bellas Hess and Einbenders. Dorothy was a friend to all animals; she raised dogs and canaries.
According to her wishes, there will be no services; a private family burial will be held officiated by pastor Jim Oswald. Local arrangements are being made by Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Humane Society or Faith United Church, Building Fund.
