Donald Zion, 77, Bolckow, MO passed from this life on Wednesday December 23, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO. He was born in Bolckow, MO on October 23, 1938 to Reed & Lelah (Heckman) Zion. He married Deloris Livengood in St. Joseph on April 2, 1976 and she survives of the home.

Don was a farmer and very hard worker. He loved his family, and enjoyed following all his grandchildren to all their sporting and academic events throughout the years.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey & Janel Zion of Camden Point, MO; two daughters, Susan & Johnny Shultz of Platte City, MO, and Gaye Colborn of Amazonia, MO; one brother, Franklin & Patricia Zion of Union Star, MO; Five grandchildren, Derek & Jessica Shultz, Katherine & John Lomax, Whitney Colborn, Madison Colborn, and Alyssa Zion. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lowell Zion and granddaughter, Emily Ann Colborn.


Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at
Breit - Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO. Public visitation and receiving hours will be Tuesday December 29, 2015 from 1-2 PM at Breit - Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Interment will be at Fillmore Cemetery in Fillmore, MO. Family suggests memorial donations to The American Cancer Society.
