Donald G. Hutson 89, Bolckow, MO passed away, July 14, 2016 at Nodaway Nursing Home in Maryville. He was born August 24, 1926 in Whitesville, MO to James & Lois (Powers) Hutson. He married Donnelle Dunn in Carthage, MO on April 6, 1954 and she survives of the home.
Don retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad after more than 30 years of service. In his younger days, he'd work all night for the railroad, come home to sleep a few hours & then go help a friend or neighbor farm. He was a man who spoke his mind & always had a good story to tell. Don enjoyed watching sports & old westerns on TV, he loved animals and always had at least one pet. He also had more than one deck of cards with the numbers wore off from playing solitaire so much!
Don is survived by one son, Mike (Marie) Hutson of Bolckow; two daughters, Marcia (Matt) Webb of Cameron, and Michelle Baker of Bolckow, nine grandchildren, Erin Roberts, Jacob Hutson, Joy May, Holly Sossi, Hunter Smith, Zach Smith, Faith Baker, Bob Atkins, and Teresa Askins, eight great grandchildren & one great-great grandchild and one brother, Russell (Wanda) Hutson of Smithville, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00-2:00pm Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home with internment at the Bolckow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bolckow Cemetery Fund, PO Box 47, Bolckow, Mo. 64427. Also the family has requested casual dress for the service.
