Dixie May Vincent age 92 of St. Joseph, MO passed away February 7, 2018. She was born in Leavenworth, Kansas July 19, 1925 to Harley and Mamie (Dean) Francis. Dixie married Dallas T. Miller (deceased), the father of her three children. Later Dixie married Armand J "Tug" Vincent also deceased.
Dixie loved doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, babysitting for grandchildren, the outdoors and traveling. Sunday drives with Tug were a favorite. Dixie loved Carrie Underwood and a highlight was attending her concert in Kansas City with her daughter Linda. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their sporting and dance activities. Dixie was a great cook and enjoyed sharing recipes with family as recently as last Sunday.
Dixie is survived by her children Linda Siegal and Dallas T. Miller (Connie Sipes) of St. Joseph, Mo and Jerry U. Miller (Nina) from Billings, MT. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Harley & Mamie Francis, her four brothers, Marcellus, Lee, Harry and Ray and her infant daughter Nancy K. Vincent.
Memorial celebration of life will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00am at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home with visitation preceding from 9:00 -11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
