Dixie Louise Douglas, 91, Savannah, MO. passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at her home in Savannah.   She was born July 16, 1927 in Holt, MO to Edward and Stella James (Martin) Goosey.  She married Charles John Douglas in 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1996.

Dixie enjoyed gardening, antiques, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Dixie (Larry ) Stafford, Terry Taylor, Kim Douglas, and Donna (David) Butterfield all of Savannah; grandchildren, Parrish (Vanessa) Stafford, Richard Jamison Curtin, Justin (Amy) Stafford, Cole Allen Taylor, April Sue Bower, and Megan Jean Douglas; great-grandchildren, Lauren Stafford, Makyla Curtin, Jake Stafford, Robert Curtin, Bridgette Stafford, Hailey Stafford, Alexis Stafford, Tamera Taylor, Emily Taylor, and Wyatt Taylor.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughter, Deborah Curtin; son-in-law, David Taylor; and great-grandson, Calvin Edwin Taylor.

Private family inurnment will be at a later date. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO.  is in charge of local arrangements.
