Denzel Deion Chilcoat, 22, of St. Joseph, MO passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in Elwood KS. He was born February 23, 1995 in Kansas City, MO. His parents are Brad & DeAnna (Goodpasture) Chilcoat of St. Joseph, MO.
He graduated in 2013 from Hiawatha High School in Hiawatha, KS. He attended Washburn University in Topeka, KS and then transferred to Missouri Western. Denzel excelled in sports, especially at football. He loved to travel, with Colorado typically at the top of his list. He never met a stranger and gave the best "real" hugs. He loved his family and his life goal was for everyone to be together and happy. Denzel lived his life in fast pace, slowing down only to sleep. He worked so hard to accomplish his goals and dreams and never stayed down, always getting back up.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Marcellis Washington, B.J. Chilcoat, Elizabeth Chilcoat, Elaina Chilcoat, Sophia Washington-Bond, Stephanie Washington-Morrow, Ashley Washington, and Vanessa Washington; grandparents, Patsy & Henry Goodpasture, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation to be held Friday, December 22th, 2017 from 5 PM to 8PM at First Baptist Church Savannah, MO. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 23th at 10 AM at First Baptist Church Savannah, MO. Burial will follow at Bennett Lane Cemetery in Savannah, MO.
