David Dean Thornton
1956-2016
David Dean Thornton 60, of St. Joseph passed away unexpectedly July 19, 2016. He was born in St. Joseph May 27, 1956 to Sid and Georgia Thornton.
Dean worked at Richmond Screw Anchor for 26 years then at Jack Horner's for 13 years, until 2014. He was a kind man who was helpful to anyone he'd meet, and he loved his family, friends and animals. He was a Christian and a member of Maxwell Heights Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1974 and was a lifelong north ender.
Survivors include: his wife Robin, brother, Jerry F. (Nita) Thornton, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by parents and sister, Betty Jo Berry.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Maxwell Heights Presbyterian Church.
A memorial Celebration of Life will be 11:00am Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Maxwell Heights Presbyterian Church, 4501 Maxwell Rd. St. Joseph MO.
