David D. Duty, 73, of Savannah, MO went to be with his Lord on Friday, December 15, 2017 at a local hospital in St. Joseph, MO. He was born June 26, 1944 in King City, MO to Norman & Vera (Shelton) Duty. He married Judy Flanary in Bolckow, MO on June 5, 1966 and she survives of the home.
David loved spending time with his family and grandkids. He never met a stranger and enjoyed getting to know people. He liked working with leather and traveling with his wife Judy.
He is survived by his wife, son, Craig Duty of Savannah, daughter Sharon Duty of Savannah; three grandchildren, Michael Duty, Trevor Duty, and Kyle Duty; nieces and nephews, Brian Duty, Kent Duty, Jay Vaughn, Felicia Moryz, and Nichols Flanary. He was preceded in death by his brother Clifford Duty, Sister Barbara Vaughn, and Nephew Marvin Vaughn.
Visitation to be held Monday, December 18th, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home (1010 Highway 71 S, Savannah, MO). Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 19th at 1 PM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Savannah Cemetery in Savannah, MO. Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
