Darline Ruth (Wagner) Snavely, 92, Springfield, MO, passed from this life on January 30, 2016 at Morningside Assisted Living, Springfield, MO. She was born on October 18, 1923 in St. Joseph, MO to George and Ruth (Jones) Wagner. She lived in St. Joseph, MO until 2010 at which time she relocated to Springfield to be closer to her family.
Darline graduated in 1941 from Central High School. She started working in 1957 at the St. Joseph News Press Gazette and retired in 1987. Darline enjoyed movies, reading and most importantly spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth; one brother, Robert and one daughter Joni Buehler. Survivors and their spouses Gary and Barbara, Timothy and Sally, Michael and Janet; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Graveside Celebration of Life with burial will be 11 AM Friday, February 5, 2016 at Ashland Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO, with Pastor Scott Killgore, Wyatt Park Christian Church, St. Joseph, MO officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association Northwestern Missouri Regional Office, P.O. Box 1241 St. Joseph, MO 64502.
