Darlene Kratochvil 76, Savannah, MO passed from this life on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE. She was born in Plainview, Nebraska April 4, 1938 to Bill & Tillie Miller.
Darlene married Dean Kratochvil in Osmond, NE on October 20, 1956. She received a teaching certificate from Wayne State College and taught in a one-room schoolhouse near Foster, NE. Darlene founded the Ivy Cottage in Savannah, MO and truly enjoyed the friends she made at the store.
Children include two sons, Tom Kratochvil of Arlington, NE, Chris Kratochvil of Omaha, NE; and three daughters, Kim McKean of Savannah, MO, Kelly Terry of Savannah MO, Mary Cleveland of Fort Worth, TX, and eleven grandchildren.
Public visitation will be from 6-8pm Friday February 27, 2015 at Breit - Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO.
Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Breit - Hawkins Funeral Home and interment will be at the Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Backpack Buddies of Andrew County, Missouri.
