Chris
Mautino
Apr 23, 1965 — Jul 23, 2026
Rea
Chris Mautino, 61, of Whitesville, passed away peacefully at home July 23rd 2026 leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who loved her deeply.
Born on April 23, 1965, to Sonny and Ann Anderson, Chris spent her entire life in Whitesville, the community she cherished and proudly called home. She was married the love of her life, Willie Mautino for 44 years. Together they shared more than four decades of marriage, hard work, devotion, and love while building a life centered around family.
Chris was a woman who found joy in the simple things. She enjoyed working alongside Willie at the sawmill, tending to her garden, and spending time outdoors. One of her favorite pastimes was checking cows with Willie and enjoying the quiet moments that country life provided. She never needed much to be happy—just her family close by and the life she loved.
Above all else, Chris loved her family. Her grandchildren, Ryland and Addalyn, were the light of her life and brought her endless pride and joy. Whether sharing stories, offering advice, or simply spending time together, she treasured every moment with them. She may not have always been the loudest person in the room, but her love for her family was constant.
Chris is survived by her loving husband, Willie Mautino; her daughter, Jennifer (Kenny) Cox; her cherished grandchildren, Ryland and Addalyn Cox; her mother, Ann Anderson; her sisters, Carol (Todd) Weddle and Rachelle (Rob Maxon) Anderson; close friends Clay and Delores Ferguson, Donna Huffaker, Judy Goforth, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Rodney Mautino; her father, Sonny Anderson; her sister, Julie Asher and her niece Jessica Asher.
Chris will be remembered for her strength, her stubbornness, her generous heart, and the deep love she had for her family. She lived a simple life, worked hard, and cared deeply for those around her. While her family grieves her loss, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her.
Though she is gone from our sight, she will forever remain in our hearts, in the stories we tell, the lessons she taught us, and the love she leaves behind.
