Charlie R. Conger, Jr., 95, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Cameron Veteran's Home in Cameron, MO. He was born January 28, 1923 to Charles & and Hazel (Walker) Conger.
Charlie was a veteran of the Army and Airforce. Charlie was a weather person for the US Government. He helped forecast the weather for the first Space Shuttle mission and received awards from the president for a job well done.
He is survived by four nieces; Judy Brown of Ozark, MO, Linda Ralston of Dearborn, MO, Tammie (Steve) Russell of St. Joseph and Debbie (Ed) Harness of St. Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and Sister-in-law Robert & Gloria Conger.
Visitation and family receiving hours will be Friday, August 31, 2018 from 10:00am - 11:00am at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Graveside Funeral Services will be Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:30am at Savannah Cemetery in Savannah, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to the Veterans Assistance League.
