Cathy E. Davis 76, of St. Joseph, MO passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at a local hospital in St. Joseph. She was born on September 12, 1950 to Clayton and LaVonne (Lake) VanMarter. She married Mark Davis in Saint Joseph on July 6,1997 and he preceded her in death in 2012.

Cathy grew up in Binghamton NY. She loved her family above all else. She enjoyed watching birds and cuddling with her cats. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and loved having the grandchildren running around.

Survivors include her sister Donna Shoemaker of Binghamton, NY, Daughters, Jill (John) Garcia of Kansas City, MO, Renay Roberts of Topeka, KS, Sarah (Bill) Woosley of St. Joseph MO, and Veronica Courter of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Stephanie (Dustin), Austin, Dylon, Kyle, Kennedy, Emma, Abby, Alivia, Lucas, Cathy Jean, Taron Jr., and Cooper; Former son in law Chad Millis, Bonus grandchildren, Andrea & McKenize; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her Parents, husband, sisters, Jean, Colleen, Shirley and Carol; and Bonus grandson, John Paul.

Private family memorial services will be at a later date in Colorado. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home of Savannah, MO is in charge of local arrangements.
