Brooke Stayton Hickman, 69, died and went to meet his maker on September 29, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born May 21, 1949, to Howard Stayton and Elizabeth (Heckel) Hickman in Saint Joseph. Missouri.
Brooke married Pamela Kasten Hickman February 22, 1992 and she survives of the home.
He was graduated from Central High School, and the University of Missouri at Columbia with a Bachelor of Journalism degree. He was a media salesperson for Eagle Communications (KFEQ, KKJO, KSJQ, KESJ). He enjoyed not being tied down to a desk. while meeting and helping hundred of business men and women reach their financial goals.
He previously worked for the Maryville Daily Forum, the News-Press/Gazette Company, and Stayton Transportation Systems, Inc.
Brooke enjoyed golf, photography, fishing, history, reading, and tending his flock of sheep. He was a Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela, his two children Heather Humberg, Clear Lake, Iowa, and Laura Smeby (Chad), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, grandchildren Dylan and Dalton Humberg, and Rhiannon, Cameron, and Devin Smeby, and cousins Deb Klein (Bill), Glasgow, VA, and Trish Pooley, Overland Park, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation 5 to 7pm, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CUFI (Christian United For Israel) The Grace House, and The Salvation Army.
