Betty June (Thomas) Sybert, 93, of Savannah, Mo passed from this life on Dec 24, 2021 after 36 years of fighting and beating 5 different cancers. Betty was born on June 22, 1928 to Nora and Rex Thomas.

Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church, Savannah, Mo. Her faith and love for God carried her through life's ups and downs. Betty loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.

She grew up in the Clarksdale area and graduated from Fredericksburg High School in Fredericksburg, Texas. Moving back to Missouri, she married Marion Sybert and later divorced. She retired from St. Joseph Light and Power after 20+ years of service.

She is survived by her brother, Bill (Barb) Thomas - Mankato, KS. and her 4 children, Kay Jewett of St. Joseph, Danny (Carrie) Sybert, of Savannah, Charles (Carol) Sybert of Cameron, and Joyce (Harold) Morgan of Savannah, 10 granddaughters, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and brother-in-laws, Ruth (Harlin) Jensen and Darlene (Robert) Woerner and son-in-law Harold Jewett.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Dec 30, 2021 at First Baptist Church - 500 E Pawnee, Savannah, Mo. The funeral service will follow after visitation, Thursday, 2:30 pm at First Baptist Church. The burial will follow in the Savannah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church, 500 E Pawnee, Savannah, Mo 64485.
