Arlene Kimble-Thomas, 97, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away at Riverside Place in St. Joseph, Tuesday, June 13, 2017. She was born July 7, 1919 in New Hampton, MO to Virgil Baxter & Della Jane (Smith) Jones. She married George W. Kimble in 1937 and he preceded her in death in January of 1972. She married David Thomas in 1973 and he preceded her in death in 1990.
Arlene was an independent person. Her family was her core and everything to her. She enjoyed genealogy, sewing, taking family pictures, and good ol'spring water and vitamins.
She is survived by two sons, Carl & Sharon Kimble of Stewartsville, MO, and George "Mick" & Janet Kimble of Deepwater, MO; two daughters, Cathy & Jim Holland of St. Joseph, and Faye & Virgil Aborn of Savannah; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, three daughters, Linda Kimble, Dorothy Kimble, and Mary Thurman; two sisters, Virgie Magee, and Opal Morse; one brother, Wesley Jones.
Memorial Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 16, 2017 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Memorial donations may be made to Mosaic Hospice. Burial will be at Savannah Cemetery. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
