Alice Rose (Sherbondy) Graham, 95, Savannah, MO passed from this life on Saturday January 16, 2016 at LaVerna Village in Savannah, MO. She was born in Andrew County, MO on May 31, 1920 to Harry & Gertie (Gibbins) Sherbondy. She married George Graham on February 17, 1937 in Troy Kansas and he preceded her in death in 1992.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Savannah, MO, Sew More Club, EH Circle, Mount Oak Club. She was Chairman or Vice-Chairman of the HLS Class Ozark Annual Supper for 20 or more years and Chairman & Co-Chairman of Community Service Committee for 18 years. Alice Rose was a home maker, raising a large garden, canning and giving away vegetables, sewing clothes, and making quilts for family members and friends.
Survivors include her son, Phil (Connie) Graham of Savannah; daughter , Pat (Larry ) Carr of Savannah; seven grandchildren: Troy (Rhonda) Graham, Savannah; Todd (Jenny) Graham of Rosendale; Tara (Mike) Rost of Kearney, NE; Trevor (Tammie) Carr, Savannah; Tony (Jacqui) Carr of Reston, VA; Timothy (Amanda) Carr, Smithville; Thomas (Courtney) Carr, St. Joseph; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at
First Christian Church in Savannah, MO. Public visitation and receiving hours will be Monday January 18, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Breit - Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Interment will be at Fillmore Cemetery in Fillmore, MO. Family suggests memorial donations to First Christian Church, Savannah.
