Addis L. Laughlin, 82, Savannah, MO passed from this world on Friday, January 12, 2018. He was born in Batavia, IA on February 25, 1935 to James and Nellie (Hemm) Laughlin. He married Frances Belcher in St. Joseph, MO on March 5, 1983 and she survives of the home.
Addis loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, gardening, and bowling. He worked at Mead Products for 35 years. After retiring, he did general carpentry for many years in his community.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Marty Laughlin, Tony Laughlin, and James Laughlin all of Colorado Springs, CO; one daughter, Dawn Laughlin of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Maxine (Gilbert) Bomar of St. Joseph, MO; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Forest Laughlin and one sister, Joy Laughlin.
Visitation and family receiving hours will be held Wednesday, January 17th, from 5 PM to 6 PM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO. Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, January 17th at 6 PM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to Harvest Baptist Church.
